lyrics

What brings you here?
What stories do you tell?
What battles have you fought
To reach the water in my well?

What brings you here?
You have set yourself apart
You have not truly spoken
Since your newly broken heart

What brings you here?
You act so proud and claim
I am not one of you
I am not sick or lame

What brings me here?
I am brought by what I bear
Hoping I can find release
Within this piece of earthenware

What brings me here?
To be cured by just one sip
Is this the way that we know
Or just another ego trip

What brings me here?
To act so proud and claim
I am not one of you
I am not sick or lame

For those done by exploitation
The stateless in distress
Stood here in thin line
To drink the wine that’s newly pressed
To choose thin absolution
To be cleaned of all their sin
The rough and ready
Or unsteady on their pins
For every nameless loser
Who gave up and lost the fight
Who sleep in railway stations
On a cold and stony night
For each and every innocent
Branded with the blame is why I came
For each and every innocent
Branded with the blame is why I came
