lyrics

Crestfallen at the best ball in town
He came callin’ and messed you round
You can’t make him look at you
The way you want him to look at you
Your shoes and gown
Crestfallen at the best ball in town

Crestfallen at the best ball in town
You’re crawlin’ home with no crown
Things just stopped making sense
Wounded by indifference
In sensurround
Crestfallen at the best ball in town

How much a kiss’ll show
Under the mistletoe
I’m wondering if this’ll go
Right or wrong
How soon the bliss’ll go
We’ll hear a whistle blow
One more red raw goodbye song

Crestfallen at the best ball in town
You went all in, the chips were down
You made a major play
He doesn’t want you that way
Don’t stay around
Crestfallen at the best ball in town
